I don’t know. How often have we used those three words and been entirely comfortable with not knowing?
Usually the step from not knowing, is finding out. And that’s an active process, sitting down and thinking, searching, learning, whatever.
Have you ever noticed that behind the drive to know, there’s a kind of striving. We wouldn’t be where we are today without having striven, through pushing ourselves, finding out more, doing more. There are countless examples in all our lives where building and living for the future you has made a real and positive difference.
But what about not striving? What about just being? Living for the you right now.
There are times, when not knowing, and not striving – just being in the now has real value. Coupling that with a deep congruent feeling/state that no matter what, everything is going to be alright, no matter what you choose. Is incredibly powerful. After all, there’s so much we are never going to know.
Because not knowing is alright, because actually everything is alright. Things work out. And thinking, worrying, striving can sometimes be like whistling in the wind. Because you can handle what comes your way when it comes your way. That right now, being in the moment you’re in is the only thing.
It’s kind of a spiritual thing man.
Right now, I am comfortable with not knowing. Not striving to know. And just ‘being’.
If you’re interested in how I got there, let me know.
